In the just-concluded National Finals of 2022-2023 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition in the Digital Media Interactive Design category, students Deng Qiufan, Yan Junkang, and Tan Lingmei, guided by instructors Ni Dong and Peng Keke in the major of Digital Media Arts Design from the School of Visual Art, achieved outstanding results, and stood out among 27 teams nationwide, earning the National Second Prize in the vocational and technical college group. This accomplishment fully showcases the excellent professional skills and remarkable spirit of the faculty and students in the School of Visual Art.
The competition, jointly hosted by the BRICS Business Council, the Belt & Road and BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development, and the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Training Center, is a nationwide contest for vocational college students. This competition has become an important platform for nurturing and discovering highly skilled technical talents, craftsmen, and master craftsmen, with the aim of improving the overall skill levels of the BRICS countries, particularly in China, and promoting high-quality economic development domestically. It also provides a solid foundation and strong talent support for the development of the next generation of information technology in China.
