Recently, the Digital Media Technology specialty group of the New Media Technology School completed all the competitions of the "Chuyi Cup" Hunan Vocational College Skills Competition. The participating teachers and students won a total of 4 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes, fully demonstrating the comprehensive strength of the specialty group as a provincial Chuyi high-level specialty group, which is leading in the province and the first-class in China .
Since February, the School of New Media Technology has organized nearly 100 teachers and students of the Digital Media Technology specialty group to return to school in advance for the preparation of the competition, and a total of 55 contestants from 26 teams have participated in 9 items of the "Chuyi Cup" Hunan Vocational College Skills Competitions, including Web application software development, virtual reality (VR) design and production, information security management and evaluation, mobile application development, software testing, e-commerce skills, network system management, python program development and cloud computing.
In order to comprehensively improve the level of the participants, the School of New Media Technology formulated a systematic training plan according to the technical requirements of the competition, thoughtfully bought the equipment, facilities and materials required for the training, and organized a team of high-level instructors. They put great effort to the training work with a strong sense of responsibility, aiming to improve the familiarity of the contestants with the competition equipment and the environment of the competition venue, and to enhance their competitive level, psychological quality and on-the-spot adaptability.
In the competitions, students Wang Shun, Tan Jie, Long Junjie under the guidance of teachers Huang Xiang and Huang Xuan, and Shi Fan, Wang Wei and Liu Xin under the guidance of teachers Tang Song and Li Huiyi won the first prizes in the Web application software development event. Students Zhou Jianming, Hu Zehao and Qu Can, instructed by teachers Li Huiyi and Zhang Jing won the first prize in the virtual reality (VR) design and production event. Student Wenda, instructed by teacher Luo Zhuojun won the first prize in the Python program development event. In addition, 18 teachers and students won the second and third prizes of the competition.
In the future, on the basis of the principle of "promoting education through competition", "promoting reform through competition", the School of New Media Technology will work hard to meet the requirements of the construction of provincial Chuyi high-level specialty groups, and make steady and fast transformation of the competition result into practical actions of the "three educations" reform while preparing for the national competition well, striving to make more landmark achievements for the construction of the school’s high-level specialty groups and high-level vocational college.
