On May 31, the college held a meeting of leading cadres above the middle level to deploy campus security work. Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party committee of the college, delivered a speech, and He Zhanbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and President of HNMMC, made work arrangements. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Minquan, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of HNMMC.
At the meeting, He Zhanbing made arrangements for the current work to maintain campus security and stability, announced the list of relevant work teams, and made a detailed work plan on promoting employment, epidemic prevention and control, campus security, and public opinion management and control.He Zhanbing pointed out that the college should further improve its political awareness on the basis of solidly carrying out the "tackling challenges in hundred days" operation for the education safety inspection. We must strictly prevent the confluence, escalating and turning of the risks, and jointly maintain the overall situation of campus stability. All departments and units are required to conscientiously carry out the relevant requirements of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee Education Working Committee and the Education Department of Hunan province, be responsible for matters, and do a solid work to ensure the safety and stability of the campus.
Party secretary Yuan Weikun emphasized in his speech that we must fully recognize the complexity and sharpness of the current struggle in the ideological sphere, and comprehend the importance and necessity of maintaining campus stability. In this regard, Yuan Weikun put forward four requirements to all cadres. The first is to improve political standing and fulfil political duties. We must resolutely defend the "two establishments" and achieve "two maintenances". Actions should be taken unswervingly in implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on epidemic prevention and control and stability maintenance. The second is to take responsibility and enforce the work responsibility system. It is necessary to effectively implement the responsibility system for ideological work, and resolutely achieve detection, disposal and reporting of risks at an early stage. Leadership members and middle-level cadres should do a fine and solid work, going to the front line to contact teachers and students, and take the lead in entering classrooms, classes, dormitories, canteens, associations, lectures, and network. It is necessary to do a good job in the linkage between the school and the locality, and strengthen the stability maintenance consultation system with the local authorities. The third is to focus on improving the management service level. The management should be accurate, and the service should be warm and sincere. It should be noticeable to do an actual work in psychological counseling and ideological education for teachers and students, solving problems for them. We should improve the epidemic prevention and control measures to realize the point-to-point closed-loop management of college and families. Fourth, we must fully recognize the severity of graduate employment under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control. We must mobilize the whole school, and participate in all staff. Great efforts should be made from top to bottom to promote graduate employment and expand the channels and positions for students by mobilizing the entire college with full participation and all-out attempt.
