On February 8, hundreds of students from Germany, Gambia, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other countries chorused online Winter Olympics with Me initiated by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education. The online winter camp of "Chinese Bridge", "Realizing the Charm of Chinese＆Appreciating Culture of Hunan Online Winter camp" kicked off, cheering for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
This online winter camp is sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and organized by HNMMC as a Chinese Language and Culture learning and experience program for students from all over the world. Teachers and more than 100 students from Asia, Africa, and Europe gathered online, participated in the online camp opening ceremony, and watched the newly produced Video Highlights of the 18th "Chinese Bridge"- Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students.
Xie Jingwei, Vice President of the college, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the college and extended warm greetings to the teachers and students during the Chinese New Year. H hoped that everyone could take this opportunity to learn Chinese, make friends, appreciate Hunan, and learn about China. Through this online journey full of Chinese and Hunanese styles, all participants were expected to improve their practical level of Chinese, appreciate the media capital of Changsha, and enjoy the unique charm of Hunan culture and traditional Chinese culture.
The "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp will last for 12 days and set up 4 online classes. As an organizer that has participated in the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students for 12 consecutive years, our college focuses on the theme of "Realizing the Charm of Chinese＆Appreciating Culture of Hunan", highlighting the in-depth integration of media elements and the theme of "Chinese Bridge". The curriculum will provide 7 thematic recorded courses such as The Capital of World Media Art - Changsha, "A Collection of Chinese Bridge- Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students", and the courses of online study tour themed on Hunan culture such as "Traveling in Hunan Museum Online" and "Traveling in Yuelu Academy", and the live courses of Chinese interactive experience such as "Passionate Olympics", "My Chinese Dream", "One World, One Family", etc... Meanwhile, students could communicate "face-to-face", discuss, share and produce online. Acquainting Chinese and Hunan culture is a unique Chinese New Year Gift to Chinese learners from all over the world.
