On January 11th, an inspection expert group of Hunan Base for Chinese Language Promotion consisting of Bai Xin, Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Language Training and Testing Center, and other two experts visited HNMMC for an on-the-spot inspection and listened to the college's report on the application for the construction of the base for the international promotion of Chinese language and characters. Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Xu Jingxue, Vice President, attended the meeting and accompanied the inspection. The mainly responsible comrades from the Academic Affairs Division, the International Exchange Division, the School of Film and Television Arts, and the base attended the meeting.
Li Bing, Director of the base and Dean of the School of Film and Television Arts, made a special report in detail on the development of the college, the guarantee of base conditions, the existing work foundation, and future development plans. He said that the base would rely on the Base for International Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture, take advantage of the resources and technical skills of a media college, accelerat the international promotion of the Chinese language, and aim to build the base into a highland for the international promotion of the Chinese Language.
The expert group also inspected the college's Omnimedia Training Room, Convergence Media Center, Studio Building, Putonghua Test Station, and other places. They checked the base’s hardware and software facilities, asked for the information on the relevant work on Chinese language and characters, and viewed related materials and documents so as to have a better understanding of the system construction, operation mechanism, funding sources, personnel composition, work performance, and other aspects.
The expert group affirmed the college's achievements in the work of Chinese language and characters and put forward functional suggestions on how to do a good job in the construction of provincial language promotion base in combination with the college’s characteristics.

He emphasized that, as a media college, HNMMC has long attached great importance to the promotion of the Chinese language and characters, and would take this on-site guidance by the expert group as an opportunity to further develop and innovate, increase resource integration, speed up the progress of base construction, and build a brand for the international promotion of Chinese, play a leading and driving role of the base, and promote the school-running level of the college to a new level.
