A few days ago, the Opening Ceremony of the 24th National Promotion Week for Mandarin in Hunan Province with the theme of "mandarin recite a hundred years of great cause, write new chapters in the era with standardize characters" and "Revolutionary Classics Passing the Native Land-Into Pingjiang" recitation activity was held in Jianqing Furong School in Pingjiang County.
Wang Yuqing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Education Department of Hunan Province, Member of the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Language Working Committee, Chen Hanguang, Level 4 Investigator of the Teacher Work and Teacher Education Division of the Education Department of Hunan Province, Feng Chuanshu, Director of the Provincial Language Training and Testing Center, Hu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Pingjiang County Party Committee and Leader of the Educational Work Leading Group of the County Party Committee, and Zhao Youjie and Pei Juezhong, Members of the Standing Committee of the Pingjiang County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and Deputy Magistrates of the County people’s government, attended the opening ceremony.
Li Bing, Director of the School of Film and Television Arts and President of the Hunan Provincial Language and Writing Workers Association, and He Juan, Vice President of the Association, brought a wonderful recitation of Spring River and Moonlight Night. Lei Liang and Liu Zhendong and other 6 students from the School of Film and Television Arts, presented a poem recitation I Dedicate My Youth to the Motherland at the opening ceremony. The wonderful performances of the teachers and students of HNMMC ushered in the enthusiastic response of the on-site leaders and the audience. The leaders of the provincial language Working committee and other agencies at all levels gave high praise to teachers and students of HNMMC.
This event demonstrates the college’s determination to actively respond to the call of the National Promotion Week for Mandarin, provides an opportunity for students to show their profound and solid specialty learning achievements, enables the college to gain more experience in strengthening students’ social practice in the future, and set a good example for further implementation of social service activities for teachers and students.
