Recently, the College Youth League Committee sent three teams of volunteers composed of a total of 70 teachers and students from the School of Visual Art, the School of Management, and the School of Film and Television Art to carry out a social practice activity to bring culture, science and technology, and health in a "visit to the village". The assistance and poverty alleviation activities were carried out for rural revitalization by working with villagers in the "Party building + five zeros knowledge publicity", "compulsory education support", "cultural tourism project planning", "wall painting of beautiful new villages", "agricultural product packaging design service", "Mandarin promotion", "lecture on rural revitalization", and "Caring for Left-behind Children".
Make overall design and transformation and work to build a beautiful countryside
"Rural revitalization, planning first." In Xinqiao Village in Longshan County and Dawei Mountain Tianxinqiao Village in Yueyang city, the college teachers led students to explore the terrain with professional equipment, communicate with the villagers and search for materials to understand the local humanities, customs and landform to lay a solid basis for the cultural tourism planning project. A good rural planning has guiding significance for the transformation of village style, the reasonable design of traffic roads, and the construction of characteristic agricultural industrial parks. It is designed for the big ecological environment and conducive to building "beautiful China" and "beautiful countryside." This place with natural beauty is expected to be more attractive under the design of the volunteers.
Paint the first wall to show the beauty of countryside
"Beautiful country scenes are invaluable assets." In Longshan County, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, the volunteers from the School of Visual Art formed a team who conducted the "Party building + hand-painting" to began their work on the composition, theme, layout and other details of the painting wall with members of the village committee upon their arrival at the village. In less than three days, hand-drawn paintings appeared on the walls of the village, showing the spirit of the beautiful countryside with green mountains and clear waters, and the achievements of new rural construction. The village was full of revolutionary education and artistic atmosphere.
Care for left-behind children, walking with love
"Let left-behind children grow like flowers blooming in the sun." The practice group from the School of Film and Television Art organized educational activities and carried out "Adherence to the Party and forging ahead in a new era" Art Performance when visiting the left-behind children, inviting them to watch and perform together so as to feel the love and care, and giving them gifts to encourage the children to study hard and make progress every day.
Establish a social practice base for college students to convey sincerity in the world
"Improve the rural environment and build a beautiful home." The Youth League Committee of the college, the Xinqiao Village of Longshan County, and the Qingshanpu Central School of Changsha County have jointly established a practice base of rural revitalization for college students. During winter and summer vacations, and other special days, they can jointly carry out cultural and tourism project planning, voluntary teaching support, wall painting, and care for left-behind children, e-commerce poverty alleviation, and other volunteer service activities, aiming to effectively solved the practical difficulties for the villagers and implemented the rural revitalization work.
It is reported that the college has planned for the summer "visit to the village" activities since early this year. During the summer vacation, three social practice groups designated by the Youth League Committee of the college to carry out the "visit to the village" theme practice activities in remote mountain villages, such as Longshan County, Tianxinqiao Village in Changsha County, Dawei Mountain Tianxinqiao Village, and Lingxi Town in Yongshun County. It is expected to guide the young students to be educated, develop their talents, and make contributions in a social classroom. They can take the opportunity to learn the Party’s history, strengthen their beliefs, and follow the Party through observation and practice, striving to become newcomers of the era and shouldering the great task of national rejuvenation.
