On May 18, HNMMC organized the teachers from International Exchange Division and the Leisure Service Management Specialty of the School of International Communication to participate in the China Tour of German University Presidents and the 3rd Seminar on the Hotel Management Personnel under the Sino-German Cooperative Training "Dual System". The conference was hosted by Hubei Polytechnic Institute and the German BSK International Education Institute. Affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, representatives of Chinese and German vocational education colleges participated in an online meeting.
Minister of Public Relations of the Federal Institute of Vocational Education in Germany, Monica, delivered a speech at the seminar. The meeting invited Prof. Dr. Michael Heister, Minister of the Training Department of the Federal Institute of Vocational Education in Germany, Martin Sommer, vice president of the German IST University of Management and Applied Technology, and Alexander Aisenbrey, Chairman of the German Hotel Association, to deliver reports respectively on the innovation and mechanism of dual system vocational education in contemporary Germany, the curriculum standard and educational practice training standard of "dual system" education in hotel management, and the new development of Sino-German cooperation project of cultivating dual system hotel management personnel in post-epidemic period
German dual system education is a new education mode that develops from non-academic vocational education to higher degree education, and is one of the directions and ways for Sino-German universities to cooperate in training applied international hotel management personnel. The purpose of this seminar is to further understand the German dual system talent training mode, expand the international development paths of the Leisure Service Management Specialty of our college, and enhance the international development level of the college.
