On May 18, the college held a special lecture on employment and entrepreneurship for college students. The lecture invited Wu Heng, the Executive Director of the China Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation Research Association, the Specially-appointed Entrepreneurship and Employment Guidance Expert of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, the Consulting Expert Group Member for SME Entrepreneurship of the Changsha Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Consultant of the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security IYB and SYB Entrepreneurship to give the lecture. Yang Huangjiang, the Secretary of the Party branch of the School of Management, presided over the event, and more than 300 representatives of teachers and students participated.
At the meeting, Wu Heng gave professional guidance on how to select good entrepreneurial projects for college students from six aspects: compliance with policy guidance, selection of profit models, pinpoint competitive advantages, learning to self-match, reasonable planning of financial reliability, and adherence to controllable risks. He analyzed the current entrepreneurial situation and trends, encouraged students to seize the opportunity and enthusiastically devote themselves to entrepreneurship. Wu also instructed students on how to balance the relationship between study and entrepreneurship, and shared the seven major steps in innovation and entrepreneurship for college students, by providing vivid theoretical guidance and practical case studies. He recommended students to follow the current policy orientation, engage in the work within their reach, and have a team spirit when starting a business. After the lecture, Wu also had enthusiastical interaction with the students, guided and commented on their innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
This lecture is sponsored by the Changsha County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and jointly organized by the HNMMC’s Admissions and Employment Guidance Department and the School of Management. It is the first step of the Changsha County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau’s 2021 employment and entrepreneurship guidance special activity on campus, and also one of the series of activities during the vocational education week of HNMMC.
