A few days ago, HNMMC held a general election meeting for the Professors Committee. Party Secretary Yuan Weikun, President Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Liu Guoqing, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee Cheng Guizhen, Vice President Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin and representatives of all committee members attended the meeting. The meeting presided over by Xu Jingxue.
Chairman Yao Haitao of the Second Professors Committee made a comprehensive summary of the work during the three years of his tenure.
In accordance with the principle of "relative stability, moderate adjustment, and balance among subjects", the conference elected 41 members of the third professor committee on the basis of the Constitution of Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College and the Constitution of the Professor Committee of Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. Liu Guoqing announced the member list of the new professor committee. Recommended by the college president and voted by all members, professor Zhu Shuqing was elected as the chairman of the third session of the Professors Committee, and associate professor Shi Yinyan as the secretary-general of the committee. The Professors Committee consists of the Academic Committee and the Specialties Construction Committee. Recommended by Zhu Shuqing and voted by all members, professor Ye Yi and professor Shen Jianfei were elected as the directors of the two committees respectively.
Zhu Shuqing, on behalf of the third Professors Committee, made a speech. She believed that all members of the committee should live up to the high expectations and trust of the college in education and academic management by performing our duties well. She also made an analysis and statement in terms of basis, form and personal integrity of performing duties.
Ma Yujun, on behalf of the college, put forward requirements for the new professors committee. He pointed out that the general election of the committee was at a critical moment when the college was enhancing the level of running a school, deepening reform, and moving forward with great burden, which asked for the committee to give full play to its advantages to facilitate the development of the college. In addition, he put forward the following hopes to the committee: Firstly, to be a good assistor in college’s improvement of the level of running a school. Secondly, to be a forerunner in Specialties building and teaching reform. Thirdly, to be a pioneer to enhance scientific research capacity and highlight the academic characteristics of media art. Fourthly, to be a guardian of the pure academic land. At the same time, he hoped that all members of the new committee fulfill their promises and take responsibilities in a modest, prudent, fair and rigorous manner, making contributions to the sound and rapid development of the college.
