In response to the call of "suspend classes but continue to study," the online course "Film and TV Audio Editing" hosted by the teacher Yue Wei of the School of Visual Art received extensive attention and many praises for its elaborate design and sophisticated content.
Since the start of construction in late 2019, Yue Wei has carefully designed and refined the "Film and TV Audio Editing" course with a rich content, showing a combination of multiple elements, including a large amount of original teaching videos, relevant knowledge discussions, commercial project practice, classic case appreciation, online assignments review, teaching design cases. Besides devoting to stimulate students' interest in learning, the course is featured with thinking and development, so that the effective learning situation of the course is not limited to theory. Combining theory with practice, this course strives to guide students to explore and reflect on and reason from practice, and further strengthen the learning content and the application of proficient skills, thereby enhancing the originality and creativity.
2. The course focuses on the integration of ideological and political elements and the cultivation of public spiritedness
The content design of the "Film and TV Audio Editing" course focuses on strengthening the integration of ideological and political education in the course. Hence, "strengthening the cultivation of students' public spritedness" is also an important part of the teaching content.
Yue Wei required students to apply what they have learned in the course to their real lives. In particular, they should pay more attention to public welfare and create public service works to promote positive energy and demonstrate their social responsibilities as advertisers.
Specific to the COVID-19 epidemic, Yue Wei chose a public-interest song "Hand in Hand". In the recording chapter of the course, students of the whole class were required to record the song in the form of chain game at home. It is worth mentioning that, in order to cheer for the final victory of this epidemic, the "Film and TV Audio Editing" course specially designed- “Voice Support to Fight the Epidemic” theme creation. Since its launch, the online course of "Film and TV Audio Editing" has attracted teachers and students from more than 100 colleges and universities including Jishou University, Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute, for learning and carrying out teaching activities because of its novel form and rich materials, playing a leading role among universities.

The "Film and TV Audio Editing" course provides free resources for teachers and students in domestic universities in need. At present, the number of courses selected has reached more than 3,000. Since the online teaching was officially launched on February 24, the School of Visual Art has designed some online courses with exquisite design and complete content, which not only meet online learning needs for students of this school, but also attract teachers and students from other colleges and universities in China.
