Recently, HNMMC was awarded as "Excellent Organizational Unit" in the 2019 Hunan Provincial Anti-Aids Knowledge Competition for College and University Students.
Around the 32nd "World AIDS Day", the college carried out a series of publicity and education activities on the theme of "Teachers and students actively prevent AIDS. Healthy China starts from me" to attract students to participate in through various forms such as publicity boards, electronic screens, official Wechat account, online knowledge contests, and health education lectures. Young volunteers set up booths in front of teaching buildings, canteens, and student apartments, and distributed leaflets, brochures, and red ribbons to teachers and students passing by. Besides, they shared the knowledge about the prevention of AIDS, and conducted publicity activities with the theme of anti-AIDS, award-winning quiz as well as anti-AIDS signature activity.
A series of publicity and education activities of the "World AIDS Day" drew a great attention among the students, raising the students' health awareness, creating an intense atmosphere for teachers and students throughout the college to pay attention to AIDS, respect life, and stay away from AIDS, and advocate a healthy and civilized lifestyle.
