On November 23 to 25, the finals of the teaching ability match of the 2019 National Vocational College Skills Competition were held in Hunan Chemical Vocational Technology College. 251 teachers teams from secondary and higher vocational schools and colleges across the country participated in the finals. After eight months of selection for provincial competition, challenge competition and national trials, two teachers teams of our college received the qualification for the finals of the national competition. They were fearless to face strong rivals, keeping calm and giving full play to their abilities. In the end, the team of Lv Xinyan, Jiang Lifen, Pan Danfen and Li Bing won the first prize, and the team of Wen Jingzi, Shen Jianfei, Ni Dong and Hu Ying (Changsha Social Work College) won the second prize. Our college received the best results among all participating colleges in Hunan during the competition.
HNMMC has always atlach great importance to the construction of the faculty, whose overall quality and strength are constantly improving. In 2019, the college launched the “Full-time Teachers Vocational Ability Promotion Action Plan 2019-2022”, with a special fund of over 2 million yuan. Through hierarchical classification training on full-time teachers, their professional ability construction reached unprecedented height. Owing to the implementation of education and teaching reform, construction of ideological and political education course, and teaching skill improvement, teaching achievements have sprung up. In this semester, in addition to the two teams’ winning in the national competition, Liu Aiguo, teacher of ideological and political course won the first prize in the 1st National Teaching Presentation Competition of Ideological and Political Theory for Colleges. The professional teaching resource library projects of the "Television Animation", co-hosted by vice president Lei Junlin and Shenzhen Polytechnic, and the "virtual reality application technology", co-hosted by vice president Xie Jingwei and Chongqing Vocational institute of Engineering won the approval of the second batch of national vocational education teaching resource library in 2019. Zhang Min, teacher of the Ideological and Political Department, won the approval of Hunan provincial high-quality online open course for her course of "Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics".
