On September 28th, HNCCM 2018 Military Training Summary Conference and Opening Ceremony for Freshmen were held in the morning. Yuan Weikun, the Secretary of the Party Committee, presented a pennant to the Hunan Training Base of Cadets. The President Ma Yujun delivered a speech for the opening ceremony of the new semester. College leaders including Liu Guoqing, Jiang Minquan, He Zhanbing, Xu Jingxue and Xie Jingwei; Director of Hunan Training Base of Cadets, Yang Wenjie; as well as all the middle-level and higher leaders of departments in the the college; Representatives of teachers and students all sat on the rostrum.

The ceremony started with the national anthem of China. A total of 3,960 freshmen were grouped into 54 companies for 6 battalions in one regiment. Each square walked through the rostrum vigorously in neat formation and high spirit, marching out for inspection. Under the command of their officer, the freshmen finished the performance of the military training parade, boxing square and the display of large phalanx.

Vice-President Xu Jingxue concluded that military training is the first lesson in college and the enrichment of the college life. This military training, started from September 15th and lasted for 14 days, has achieved the goal that the freshmen has been cultivated and strict on regular self-management by militarize training in physical ability. He hoped that the freshmen would keep this experience in mind as a lifelong treasure and guide in their campus life.

Wang Yihan, a freshman majoring in broadcasting and hosting from the School of Film and Television Art, and Wang Shengqiang, a senior majoring in TV director from No. 1602 class of the School of Journalism and Communication, delivered a speech respectively. Lin Qian, a teacher of the School of Film and Television Art, made a speech on behalf of teachers. College leaders awarded the school badge to the representatives of 2018 freshmen.

The president Ma Yujun, on behalf of all the faculty and students, warmly welcomed 3,960 freshmen and expressed his sincere gratefulness to all the officers, teachers and assistant counselors for their hard work. In his speech, Ma Yujun shared some experience of achieving success in academic life and career. He hoped that, from now on, everyone would keep moving and keep learning to meet new challenges with full passion.

The Ceremony Ended Successfully in the Vowing of 3,960 Freshmen.
