On November 23th, Lv Lanfeng, a student from Class 1601, major in Radio and Television Technology, School of Journalism and Communication, won the first prize in the finals of college Speech Contest in Hunan province Centering on Daily review, New Thoughts and In-depth Understanding of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping.
His speech, titled on My Uniform, My Faith, showed us the fresh spirits of a veteran and college student. Started with the reason to serve in the army, he mentioned that serving as a soldier is a heroic faith in a man’s in-depth mind. He shared the stories in the past like the heroic preparation for the Parade in September 3nd. He told us the experience of life and death with words of sounds of machines, dust and large rocks caused by the landslides, in addition, he finally took a deep understanding on the faith of Chinese Dream, Power Dream and His Dream. In his speech, Lv Lanfeng touched the audience deeply and shared his spirit of patriotism by quoting a well-known saying Chinese soldier fear nothing with the leader of our Great Party, and we will resolutely chase and terminate those who dare to encroach the interests of China, no matter how far away they may flee. Lv Lanfeng gave the audience a solemn military salute to end his speech with thunderous applause.
The speech contest, sponsored by the Propaganda Department of Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC with elite athletes from 11 universities like the Central South University, aims to promote the study and publicity of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping in campus and further strengthen the self-confidence on the way of socialism with Chinese characteristics, focus on theory confidence, system confidence and culture confidence.
