In the afternoon of September 11th , Lecture of Huxiang Grand School • Celebrity rostrum, sponsored by Propaganda Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the Hunan Provincial Federation of Social Science, was held in HNMMC. Professor Zeng Jingping was invited as the speaker for this lecture, who is the professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Qianjiang Scholars in Zhejiang Higher Education Schools. More than 420 people attended this lecture including leaders from Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Propaganda Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Hunan Provincial Department of Culture, Hunan Provincial Federation of Social Science and HNMMC；representatives from cadres of provincial units, media staff and researchers in Hunan province; teachers and students from HNMMC.
Song Zhifu and Hu Weijian, leaders from Hunan Provincial Federation of Social Science,were present to award the plaque to the college as the Cooperation Unit of Huxiang Grand School and award a certificate to Professor Zeng Jingping as the Distinguished Professor of Huxiang Grand School. This ceremony was hosted by Li Bing, the Director of the School of Film and Television Art.
The president Ma Yujun, on behalf of the college, expressed highest respect and sincere welcome to all leaders present and professor Zeng Jingping and expected that to more scholars and famous expects would give lectures in the college to spread knowledge, inspire thought and cultivate feelings to make Huxiang Grand School to became a beautiful cultural scenety.
During the lecture,Professor Zeng Jingping tightly focused on the theme of New Media, New Ideas,New Industries and New Literacy,sharing the economic development of cultural industries related to the above four dimensions and emphasizing on new connotation and development of New Media.Professor Zeng Jingping believed that the new media opened up a new world filled with new ideas which would create new industries,and new literacy would certainly be required by new media;the emergence of new media had reestablished social order,innovated management concepts,changed mode,expanded the industrial scope,prospered cultural content and changed the consuming behavior,providing more wider for development and putting forward to higher and more requirements on media staff. Professor Zeng Jingping are so knowledgeable and insightful that won tremendous applause.At the end of the lecture,Professor Zeng Jingping interacted with the audience and media reporters.
