In 2018, the college became one of the first batch of Modern Apprenticeship Unit in Hunan Province. Being part of this Modern Apprenticeship Unit Project in Hunan, the Interior Art Design Major started a modern apprenticeship class firstly in Hunan province. The college continues to develop the School-enterprise Cooperation Mode by combining studying and working. With the cooperation of Interior Art Design Major and many other enterprises, the modern apprenticeship class has demonstrated a new way for cultivation. Professor Shen Jianfei, dean of the School of Visual Arts, mentioned in the interview of Hunan Satellite TV that students in the modern apprenticeship class will be regarded as workers of enterprises and will be trained by school and enterprises.
The modern apprenticeship class, with the cooperation from both school and enterprises, does help students employed at the beginning of the college by focusing on their skills and abilities while studing and combining knowledge and practical experiences from their teachers and masters.
