On October 17th, a delegation of 81 trainees, who came from several training seminars sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China including 2018 Africa French-speaking Seminar on the Media Management and Brand Operation of Film and Television; 2018 Congo (DRC) Seminar on the Capability in Operations of Radio and Television; 2018 Ethiopia Seminar for Experts in the Technology of Media Industry, paid a visit to our college. Trainees were senior officials in media industry from different African countries along the Belt and Road including Congo(DRC), Ethiopia, Senegal, Algeria, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, and Congo-Brazzaville.The Vice President Xie Jingwei was present in this seminar with relevant leaders and teachers from the International Exchange Division, the School of Journalism and Communication and the Training Center.
During the symposium, the Vice President Xie Jingwei delivered a welcome on behalf of the college speech and gave a brief introduction about the college, the characteristics and strength of the media majors and the achievements of international exchanges and cooperation work, showing the the prospect of enhancing the cooperation between the College and African countries in the radio, film and television industry and other international programs. Then, the delegation watched the Collection of 16th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, which was co-organized by the college .
After the seminar, the delegation visited the Omni-media Interactive Studio Hall, the TV Station of HNMMC and the training room of the School of Journalism and Communication. They gave highly comments on the abundant resources of media education, the advanced training rooms and facilities in the college. They added that they had learned a lot of new technologies and achievements in the field of Media Vocational Education in this trip, which would be of great reference to development of the media industry in their countries .
This visit enhanced the communication and exchanges with African countries and broadened the ways of international cooperation and exchanges in media industry, providing more opportunities for win-win cooperation between the college and African countries in the field of Media Vocational education.Meanwhile, this meeting played a positive role in the implementation of the spirits of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Sino-African diplomacy and the development strategy by the People’s Government of Hunan Province calling for the Innovation to lead, Openness to rise.
