Currently, a total of six backbane teachers from the Financial Business Major of HNMMC have take advanced study and training themed on Management Philosophy and Teaching Management in Singapore for 14 days.
The advanced study and training was divided into two parts. Teachers will stay at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) during the first week for several courses which represent Vocational Education in Singapore including the construction of Teaching Factory, the construction of Major Services Industry, the construction of teaching research like Core Technology Center, the construction of human resources like Professionalization Orientation Training, the construction of students’ Comprehensive Quality Education and the construction of campus cultural atmosphere by Boundless Cooperation. Considering the actual circumstances of Financial Business major, the teachers communicated with some school-enterprise cooperation projects like Teaching Factory and Teaching Enterprises with Department of Business Administration, Department of Interactive and Digital Media and Engineering. During the second week, they attended training courses in forms of lecture, visiting and group discussion. They had strengthened the comprehensive understanding of vocational education and undergraduate education in Singapore by communicating with Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore Republic Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
During that time, the teachers had extensive and in-depth communications with the education administrative officials, teachers and students majoring in financial business , and summarized them by diaries. At the same time, our teachers gave a introduction of our college education in details including history, features, majors, subjects construction, human resources management and the development plans. Both two sides put an agreement on the inner spiritual construction for excellent college and major development, which lays a foundation for the staeady communication and cooperation in the future.
The advanced study and training in Singapore, as an important part of the faculty development in Excellent College Project, not only brings successful experience and advanced ideas for the financial business group on many aspects including major setting, academic and students management, practical training and school-enterprise cooperation, but also serves as reference for teaching innovation.
