On the afternoon of July 27th, the Top 15 contestants from the 17th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, competed for the Five Intercontinental Champions in the 1,400 ㎡studio of the Base for International Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture , and the Intercontinental Competition of Chinese Bridge was ended successfully with five intercontinental champions.
The Competition for Five Intercontinental Champions was designed as the in-class exams with four sections including Wise Survival, Global Connection, Green Home, and Future Exploration. Several national and international persons were invited to set questions and interact with the competitors such as Bei Letai, the Champion of the 12th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, and Qin Siyuan, the founder of the Sound Museum of Old Beijng.
During this competition, the Top 15 competitors were highly focused and showed themselves with talents. In the end, Guan Huimin (Indonesia) from Asia, Ding Jiaming (Nigeria) from Africa, Lu Silan (Russia) from Europe, Ke Luhan (USA) from the America and Si Teng (Australia) from Oceania got the awards as five intercontinental champions. In addition, the second place and the third place in each continent won the first prize and the second prize of the 17th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students.

It is reported that the first prize and the second prize winners of this competition will experience the Huxiang Culture under the guidance of the teachers in HNMMC. The five intercontinental champions will take an intensive training for one week under the guidance of the language teachers Liu Shurong and Xu Changqing, and fight for the global championship on August 4th. The semi-final and final of Chinese Bridge Competition will be shown on Hunan Satellite TV at 7:30 pm on every Monday to Thursday from July 30th to August 9th.
