On June 4th, eighteen participants of the 2018 Management Seminar for Ethiopian Media Officials, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce visited Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College(here after HNMMC). Yuan Weikun, who is the Secretary of the Party Committee in HNMMC met with the participants. Xie Jingwei, Vice President of HNMMC attended the symposium. The International Exchange Office, the School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Visual Art and the Training Center were represented at the symposium as well.
During the symposium, Mr. Xie, on behalf of the HNMMC, delivered a welcoming address. He made a brief introduction of the college, the features and advantages of the media majors, as well as the achievements that had been made by HNMMC on the aspect of international exchange and cooperation. The participants watched the collection of the 16th Chinese-Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, co-organized by HNMMC.
After the symposium, participants of the seminar visited the Program Production Base of the Hunan Broadcasting System, the Omni-media Interactive Studio and Training Center of the School of Journalism and Communication. They watched the excellent graduation designs of 2018 graduates of the School of Visual Art. After the visiting, the participants expressed that they had further learned about the features and strength of the media education, the unique school-running model of “TV station plus the college” as well as the first-class education and training resource and platforms in China and the excellent innovation ability of the students. They wish to take this opportunity to further develop exchanges and cooperation with us and build bridges for the cooperation between the college and African countries in the field of media vocational education.
