On the afternoon of June 26th, the 2018 Completion Ceremony for International Students in HNMMC was held in the meeting room 203 of library. Eight international students from Germany, Slovakia, South Africa, Madagascar, Senegal and other countries have successfully graduated. The President Ma Yujun and Vice President Xie Jingwei, the relevant responsible persons of the International Exchange Divison, the School of International Communication, the Student Affairs Division, the Academic Affairs Division, the Department of Physical Education, and relative course teachers and counsellor attended this ceremony.
The ceremony started from a collection of study and life of international students. Simon ANETSMANN from Germany，the representative of short-term language students, and Siphiwe Moranzi MASILELA from South Africa, the representative of long-term language students delivered speeches as representatives of international students. They recalled the good times in school, extended their gratitudes to the leaders and teachers for their guidance, expressed their love to Chinese language and culture, and gave best wishes to the future of the college.
At the ceremony, Liu Shurong, a teacher from the School of International Communications, delivered a speech as the representative of course teachers. She praised students for their earnest attitude on studying, congratulated them on their excellent performance, and gave sincere wishes to international students. Vice President Xie Jingwei hoped that all the international students will keep on learning Chinese after returning to their hometowns and not only further the study on Chinese language but also enhance a comprehensive understanding on Chinese culture to become the envoy of friendship between Chinese and foreign countries culture.
The President Ma Yujun expressed warm congratulations on the graduation of international students and expressed sincere gratitude to the faculties who have worked hard to cultivate and serve international students. He hoped that international students can share good memories in the college with their friends and let more foreigners know about Hunan and HNMMC. He also hoped that international students can use what they’ve learned to plunge into the construction program of” One Belt and One Road” initiative and make a contribution to the communication between China and their countries, working for building the human community of shared destiny. After that, President Ma Yujun issued international students with certificates of completion and transcripts.
The Completion Ceremony ended with the Chinese folk song Jasmine performed by international students.
