The Preparation Work for the 17th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students is Going on in An Orderly Manner

The 17th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students will be held at Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College (here after HNMMC) from July 3rd to August 4th in 2018. The competition is sponsored by Confucius Institute (Hanban) and People’s Government of Hunan Province, organized by Hunan Provincial Department of Education and Hunan Broadcasting System, co-organized by Hunan Satellite TV, Hunan HNMMC and Eduvision Service. About 150 contestants from nearly 120 countries will attend the semi-final and final of this competition.



May 9th, Peng Xiang, Deputy Secretary-General of General Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government led a delegation to Beijing to deliver reports of the preparations and plans for the competition. The President Ma Yujun, Vice-President Xie Jingwei and other leadership of the HNMMC attended the meeting and made reports of the overall plans on behalf of the executive committee of the competition.

To ensure the competition going on wheels, HNMMC has had meetings for many times to study and deploy related work. In order to successfully hold the 17th Chinese Bridge competition, guided by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), Hunan provincial Party Committee and Hunan People’s Government. HNMMC formed a harmonious work team and an efficient and clear working mechanism, providing all-round guarantee for the competition in the aspects of individual, property and resource. All the preparatory work is on its way in an orderly manner.

HNMMC formulated a detailed schedule for work arrangement, adopting counting down system to assign specific tasks for every workday and making sure all the related departments included. In the next phase, HNMMC will carry out the plans step by step through establishing collaborative mechanism with other members of the executive committee to achieve sound performance of tasks and perfect outcomes. Hence, all the work will be firmly finished with preciseness.

It is reported that, so far, preliminary match have been held in 86 competition areas of 74 countries and will be finished in the rest countries and areas by late June.
