May 8th, 20 officials of Gambia Ministry of Information and journalists of mainstream media from seminar visited our college for exchange. Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party Committee of our college, met with the delegation, and Xie Jingwei, Vice-President of HMMVTC, held a symposium with them.
Xie Jingwei, on behalf of HMMVTC, made a welcoming address, and introduced the college’s basic information, features and strengths of the major on film and television media, as well as the achievements on international exchange and cooperation made by HMMVTC. The visitors watched a video collection of “the 16th Chinese-Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, which was jointly sponsored by HNMMC. Besides, both sides had a discussion on the enrollment and cultivation of international students in China, course construction of television program production, and so on.
After the visit to the Omni-media Interoutive Studio, campus broadcasting and TV station, and the program production base of Hunan Broadcasting System, the participants gave high regards for what we had achievements in recent years, and hoped to strengthen the further cooperation on media industry between Gambia and the college.
This seminar was sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the training center of Hunan Commerce Department. The purpose is to help the officials of the developing countries understand the present development of Chinese broadcasting and TV industry and the features of the film and media education, enhancing the friendship and mutual trust by accelerating the exchange and cooperation in broadcasting and TV industry between the developing countries and China. Before this visit, the experts and professors of our college were invited to Hunan Commerce Department to give special topic lecture for the participants of the seminar.
