On January 9th, 2018, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Techical College held the appointment ceremony of the Dean of the School of Film and Television Art. The famous TV presenter Li Bing accepted the letter of appointment from President Ma Yujun and officially became the new Dean of the School of Film and Television Art. The ceremony was hosted by Liu Guoqing, deputy secretary of the Party committee and was witnessed by the college leadership ( Yuan Weikun, Ma Yujun, Liu Guoqing, Jiang Minquan, He Zhanbing, Cheng Guizhen, Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin, Xie Jingwei), middle-level cadres of the college, the faculty and student delegates of the School of Film and Television Art .
In the ceremony, Li Bing delivered a speech that the Dean of the School of Film and Television Art was a new job with heavy responsibility. He promised that he would make arduous efforts to do the job in a down-to-earth way and make the overall plans with the entire colleagues in the school on setting high moral values and cultivating talent, open innovation, industry-education integration, and first-class discipline construction. Furthermore, he mentioned that building a master studio and cultural innovation center platform would lay a solid foundation for industry-education integration, build a stage for students to acquire practical skills and teachers to carry out more tasks and programs, provide better services for the college to satisfy the faculty and students, reassure the leaders of Hunan Broadcasting System, and motivate colleagues to work with vigor and creativity.
Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party committee, extended a warm welcome to Li Bing and gave highly affirmation of Li’s achievements in broadcasting and TV industry, pointing out the significance of hiring Li, and hoping that the members of the leading group and all the staff in the School of Film and Television Art would positively support Li’s work. Yuan placed great expectations on Li Bing’s work in the school. The appointment of Li Bing marked a new stage of the college-enterprise cooperation between the college and Hunan Broadcasting System and other industrial leading enterprises for together setting the cultivation standards for media talents, developing the media industrial culture and creating media spirit. It’s a significant result of introducing intelligence to the college and creating the famous teacher group, and a win-win cooperation of the resources of good quality in media industry and media education.
Yuan Weikun hoped that on the basis of the all-around educating platform offered by the college, Li Bing would integrate the cutting-edge knowledge, skills and experience of media industry in the process and link of teaching and talent cultivation so as to provide students in the School of Film and Television Art and the whole college with more learning opportunities and professional guidance of forward looking and effectiveness. Therefore, a great success would be made in building a better cultural atmosphere in media industry, developing wider channels for internship, practical training and employment, and fostering more excellent media talents in order to give a powerful support to achieve “Double Tops” and upgrade the level of operating the college.
Li Bing, a famous announcer, presenter and producer of Hunan Broadcasting System, successively hosted the evening party for fighting against floods of 1998, Spring Festival Gala Evening of 2005, Lantern Festival Gala of 2005 and other large-scale parties in CCTV. He was the host and producer of Countryside Exploring, which ranked the most popular column in Hunan Satellite Television at that time. Countryside Exploring received lots of awards, including China News Award, China Shen Nong Award, the Gold Award of National Countryside Columns, the first prize of All Previous Agricultural Programs of China, Hunan Journalism Award, and Hunan Broadcasting and Television Award. Li Bing received countless honors, such as Fan Changjiang Press Award(the top award in the Chinese press), the Gold Award of the Golden Microphone Competition for the Hosts in National Broadcasting and Television Programs, the award of China Top Ten Television Hosts, Influential Man of China Broadcasting and Television Hosts in the Past 30 Years. As a producer of great influence in Hunan, he was not only one of the talents in the national publicity and cultural system of “Four Batches” and the talents in Hunan publicity and cultural system of the first “Five Batches”, but also an expert receiving the special state subsities from the State Council, and an excellent expert in Hunan, awarded the provincial Top-grade Merit Citation. In addition, Li Bing was a member of the jury of senior position in national broadcasting specialty, the 6th Council of All-China Journalists Association, and the Committee of Radio and TV Hosts of CRTA. Besides being the ambassador for Earth Day in Hunan, Li Bing was both the vice chairman of Hunan Broadcasting and Hosting Research Council and Hunan Micro Video and Film Association.
