On December 28th,2017, Guangzhou witnessed the launch event of the National Vocational Education Union for New Media Specialty. Our college was elected as standing director unit. The Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication Lao Guanghui, was elected as the vice chairman of the union, and Zhou Huan, head of the teaching and research section of the Network News and Communication Specialty, was elected as the standing director of the union.

At the meeting, the delegates carried out an in-depth discussion on how the New Media Specialty in vocational education has implemented the cross-border integration, exerted innovative strength, and put the entrepreneurship education into practice in order to meet the increasing demand of the talents in Internet new media operation. In the meantime, they exchanged their opinions on some issues about vocational colleges including “How to optimize the operation mode mechanism of the college-enterprise cooperation and realize the all-win situation”, and “how to effectively coordinates the business projects in the curriculum and properly transform the teaching and research achievements”.
National Vocational Education Union for New Media Specialty aims at responding to the 19th CPC National Congress’s education guideline of “improving the vocational education and training system, and deepening the industry-education integration and college-enterprise cooperation”. It is supposed to accelerate the school-running progress of large scale, intensification and linkage of the vocational education in college-enterprise cooperation. In line with the concept of “considering the union as platform, industries as foundation, market as orientation, and projects as bond”, all the members will make efforts to create the national brand of professional education in college-enterprise cooperation for the Network News and Communication Specialty and to meet the enterprise’s need for vocational education talents. Our college’s joining in the union has the positive meaning for cultivating the talents and promoting the specialty construction and development of the Network News and Communication Specialty.
