On November 9th, Source Power Studio in the School of Journalism and Communication, on behalf of my college, attended the “ Kicks Cup " -the 1st Hunan Provincial Contest of Advertising and Marketing for University Students and the award ceremony in the studio complex of the Rednet. Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College team ranked the third place and won “ The Best Creative Award ”.

Sponsored by Xiaoxiang Morning News, the contest has caused strong response among the universities and colleges in Hunan Province since it was started in early October. It attracted over 180 teams and near 100,000 participants and voters. After fierce competition, the team of my college reached the finals together with the teams from Hunan University, Central South University, Hunan Normal University and Changsha University of Science and Technology.
The team of my college was formed by the Source Power Studio in the School of Journalism and Communication. Under the guidance of teacher Xia Guanxiang, after early data collection, survey and field investigation in Dongfeng Nissan franchise stores of Xingsha, “1+1+1”integrated advertising and marketing plan was finally formulated, including an event planning scheme, one-minute video advertisement and a print ads. And it only took the team 2 weeks to finish these.

In the end, the team of my college ranked the third, winning “The Best Creative Award ” and especially the video advertisement received favorable response from all of the professional judges present. “ Image carves your life, creativity lights up your life”. This award embodies not only the college motto but an affirmation to the efforts for teachers and students who attended the contest.
