On November 21st, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College held the guidance report meeting on studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The 19th NCCPC Representative Yinzhong from New Media Business Unit in the press center of Hunan Broadcasting System was invited to deliver the special report titled Developing the Mainstream of Public Opinions and Telling the China Story Well. Secretary of the college Party Committee Yuan Weikun hosted the meeting.
At the meeting, Yinzhong vividly described the grand occasion of the 19th NCCPC and conveyed the spirit of the 19th NCCPC from General Secretary Xi Jinping. He also introduced the situation of Hunan provincial delegation in the conference and shared his feelings and experience of attending this historic congress. Considering the new features and trend of the news publicity undertakings development, he believed that the press should stick to the mainstream of public opinions, telling the true China story in a lively way. The details and stories narrated by Yin contributed to an intriguing picture of the congress for the Party members and cadres of the college.
Yuan Weikun noted that we should make efforts in the deployment of publicizing and learning the spirit of the 19th NCCPC in accordance with the provincial Ministry of Education’s demand of studying deeply, understanding clearly, carrying out correctly; introducing the spirit into textbooks and classrooms and reaching to the students’ minds; taking the real actions and practical measures for the actual effect.
Yuan Weikun pointed out that the top priority political task for our college was to study and implement the spirit of the 19th NCCPC. The faculty and students should take Comrade Yinzhong’s guidance lecture as a new opportunity, further strengthening the initiative, determination and creativity in studying and implementing the spirit and constantly exploring it more deeply. In the end, Yuan Weikun made three demands on taking a further step to study, publicize and implement the spirit.
Firstly, we should study hard and completely understand it, armed with the new theories and thesis. The faculty and students should recognize the significance of the report of the 19th NCCPC, get down to study it with stamina and enthusiasm, and grasp the essence of the report in order to master it, put it into practice and keep it in mind.
Secondly, we should actively study with flexibility, improving the study efficiency with new methods and forms. In the activities of studying the spirit, we should utilize the coverage in a flexible way. With the help of coverage edited by journalists, teachers and students can not only learn and grasp the spirit, but also learn from their professional ethics of press, improving the skills of telling the China story and talents cultivation method in the media, and understanding the development trend of the convergence media in media industry. In addition, we need to take advantage of the media as a characteristic of our college, organizing the teachers and students to publicize the spirit of the 19th NCCPC. Making use of new forms and the media platforms, such as the school newspaper, campus broadcasting and TV station, official website, and official Weibo and Wechat, we can make more excellent media products of studying and publicizing the spirit of the 19th NCCPC. Therefore, with the unique learning methods, a great success can be made in improving the interest of teachers and students in learning and the learning efficiency and creating a dense atmosphere of studying and publicizing.
Thirdly, we should put it into practice with great care, promoting the development of our college with new accomplishment and contribution. It is imperative to integrate theory with practice when learning and implementing the spirit. As a higher vocational college of cultivating culture media talents, the Party Committee of the college noted in the Party Congress this year that the college should be built into a training base for technical and skilled talents with creativity within five years so as to meet the demands of the media industry and cultural undertakings development in Hunan and even the country. Through learning the spirit of the 19th NCCPC, we should a ctively respond to the call of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the process of talents cultivation. According to the deployment of the college Party Committee, in the key period of the college’s the excellent college and double-tops construction, and the sprint period of improving the education level, we should conduct our jobs steadily. In this way, we can accelerate the college’s development with new accomplishment and contribution, and cultivate more technical and skilled talents with creativity for the prosperity of China's socialist culture.
