On the afternoon of November 17th, the Studio building in our college witnessed the final of Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award for the Hunan Provincial Business Plan Competition. Some leaders came to watched this event, including Liuxiao, Vice-chairman of the Hunan provincial committee of the CPPCC, Li Ying’ai, a member of the leading Party group in Chinese Vocational Educational Institute and Deputy Inspector, Fu Jungen, Vice-minister of United Front Work Department of Hunan provincial Party committee, Ying Ruoping, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Hunan province and Deputy Head of Chinese Vocational Educational Institute of Hunan province, Yang Dongliang,Deputy Head of Chinese Vocational Educational Institute of Hunan province, and Yang Liping, Deputy Inspector of the Education Department of Hunan province and General Secretary of Chinese Vocational Educational Institute of Hunan province. Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, President Ma Yujun and other leaders also showed up in the competition. Sponsored by the Education Department of Hunan province, the competition has been held for 8 consecutive years, with Chinese Vocational Educational Institute of Hunan province as organizer and our college as co-organizer. The number of participawts this year was the largest number in the competition history. The entries covered multiple industries and fields, such as energy conservation and environmental protection, culture creativity, modern agriculture, and electronic information, and nearly 30 entries obtained national patent certificates. The competition received such warm welcome from all walks of life that the entrepreneurs and investors had reached nearly one hundred only in the phases of the online comment and on-site reply in the provincial competition. This competition provided a perfect platform for the undergraduates in the middle and high vocational colleges in Hunan to show their entrepreneurial enthusiasm and to realize their dreams by releasing the passion of youth, which is of leading value for the innovation of the undergraduates to start a business and the employment systems. This year’s competition paid more attention on innovation driving, financial support, entrepreneurial practice and social benefit. The sponsor hoped that all sectors of society would continue to care for and support the innovation and entrepreneurship education and projects for vocational colleges students and teachers, aiming to promote employment through entrepreneurship. Great efforts would be made in building this competition into an vital carrier and famous brand of the innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in Hunan. Through strengthening the innovative and entrepreneurial practice, the vocational colleges will become the business incubators, accelerators and training grounds for innovation and entrepreneurship.
