On September 23rd, 2017, the Lesson Presentation Contest for Common Courses in Higher Vocational Colleges, sponsored by the Education Department of Hunan Province and organized by the Hunan Provincial Research Institute of Education and Science, was held in Changsha Social Work College. Zhang Wenyi, a teacher in the Department of Ideological and Political Education in Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, won a third prize by lesson presentation of the course teaching of “Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Basis” based on affinity enhancement.
Centering on “for whom to teach, what to teach, whom to teach and how to teach” proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in a conference on ideological and political work of colleges and universities in China, Zhang elaborated approaches to enhance affinity of the course. She talked about how to design the course from the aspect of teaching system, how to select teaching contents from the aspect of the new “formula” to nourish the students, how to innovate teaching methods from the aspect of enlightening students’ thinking, and how to reform teaching approaches from the aspect of arousing students’ interests. The final goal is to make ideological and political courses satisfy students. Some teachers in the Department of Ideology and Political Education watched the contest at scene.
